While we were living in Cartagena, Colombia, we noticed a SERIOUS lack of information on the web about, well, everything South America. Anytime we wanted to figure out anything about tourist activities or local events, we found very little, and anything we did find was seriously outdated.
So I’ve made it my personal mission to tell you everything that we figured out on our own, with as much detail as possible. We’ll tell you the best way to do things and include some of our mistakes so you know how not to do things.
We have a lot of travel planned in our future, so keep checking back to see where we go next!
Cartagena is a beautiful, colonial city on Colombia’s northern Caribbean coast. Clocking in at a balmy 90 degrees F pretty much all year round, it’s a delightful place to visit and experience the Costeño culture. We have been to Playa Blanca three times now, and every time we took a different mode of transportation. If […]
Santa Marta is a little city on the northern Caribbean coast of Colombia. It’s very hot and humid, generally hovering in the 80-90 degrees Fahrenheit range. It’s a popular destination for tourists, mainly because of its proximity to Tayrona National Park. We went to Santa Marta for Valentine’s Day 2016. Let me start off by […]
*This child does not belong to me, nor to anyone I know. But his expression is so perfect for expressing how I have often felt when getting roped into something on vacation. At the time that this posts, we will be on our way home from a – hopefully successful – vacation to Ecuador. Two […]
